Attorney General Terry Goddard tonight dominated the first debate of the general gubernatorial election.
He laid out a clear plan to bring new jobs to Arizona, rebuild the economy and secure the international border. The hour long televised debate, the only debate under Clean Elections rules, aired tonight.
Brewer failed not only to articulate a plan for reviving the economy, she could not explain why she moved more than 400 violent criminals to a facility for drunk drivers, nor could she delineate plans to fix the threat to public safety, balance the budget or address the critical issues of education in the time that she has been Governor.
After the debate, Goddard said, "These kinds of discussions are important so voters can make informed choices. I look forward to the opportunity to debate Jan Brewer again."
