Brewer traveled to San Francisco to attend Monday's court hearing -- a trip that didn't set well with Arizona Attorney General Terry Goddard, a Democrat who is challenging the Republican governor in Tuesday's election.

"This is pure grandstanding," Goddard said. "The governor has no role whatsoever in this hearing. It is to try to determine whether the injunction was properly granted."

The Arizona Republic looked into Jan Brewer's claims that Attorney General Goddard wants to tax every transaction to raise $10 billion in revenue.  They found she was, yet again, completely distorting the facts.

Democratic gubernatorial candidate and Arizona Attorney General Terry Goddard made a campaign stop at an Avondale eatery Monday...

In introducing Goddard to the small crowd, [Mayor] Lopez Rogers called the attorney general "a good friend of Avondale, a good friend of the West Valley, and a good friend of the entire state of Arizona."

She also touted Goddard as a champion of jobs and education - two topics the gubernatorial hopeful focused on during his approximately hour-long appearance at the restaurant.

Brewer Claims “Comeback” but Numbers Haven’t Budged

Despite repeated claims by Gov. Jan Brewer that Arizona’s economic “comeback is coming” or has already begun, nearly 10 percent of the state’s workforce is still seeking employment.

ATTORNEY GENERAL TERRY GODDARD OPPOSES PROPOSITION 203
 
Attorney General Terry Goddard joins Arizona’s sheriffs and county attorneys in urging Arizona voters to vote “no” on Proposition 203.
 
Goddard agreed with the open letter from our elected county law enforcement officials that Proposition 203 would create a system to cultivate, sell and dispense marijuana completely outside of established regulatory system for public health protection.
